Quadratic Fat/water Separation
 |
The Fat/Water Separation
Imaging Technique is Based on Quadratic Detection and
Takes Advantage of the Principle That at a Certain TE
Value (10 msec) , Fat and Water are at 90 Degrees
Out-of-Phase With Each Other. A Phase Correction
Algorithm is Used to Separate Water and Fat Signal to
Obtain Images of Water or Fat Alone. Utilizes Single
Scan Using Gradient Echo (GRE/SPGR) This Option is
Compatible Only with the head Coil and Extremity Coil.
This Option Includes a CPU Upgrade to the Ultra Sparc
Computer and 192 MB of SBAM. Prof I & II Systems Only. |

SR2S Gradient Package
 |
Enables Maximum Gradient
Strength to be Increased From 10 mT/m to 15 mT/m and
Maximum Gradient Slew to be Increased From 17 T/m/s to
25 T/m/s. This Faster Slew Rate Enables Shorter TE and
TR Resulting in Higher SNR and Faster Acquisitions. The
Minimum TE is Reduced to 1.8 msec With Fast GRE and to
1.3 msec With Enhanced 3DFGRE Resulting in Improved
Breath-Hold Abdominal Imaging and Contrast Enhanced
Angio. The Maximum Echo Train Length in Fast Spine Echo
is Increased From 16ETL to 32ETL. This Package Includes
the Multi-Shot EPI Pulse Sequence and Real Time
Interactive Acquisition (RTIA)
Multi-Shot EPI – Multi-Shot
EPI is an MR Acquisition Method That Collects Multiple
Lines of k-Space in a Single RF Excitation.
Using Gradients Instead of RF
Pulses to Produce Echos. Multi-Shot EPI Provides Higher
SNR and Less Spatial Distortion Due to Lower Echo
Spacing, but With a Longer Scan Time Than Single Shot
EPI. The Multi—Shot EPI Method May be Utilized to
Provide Both Speed and Contrast Benefits for Neuro, Body
and Musculoskeletal Applications.
Real Time Interactive
Acqusition (RTIA) - Real Time Interactive Acquisition (RTIA)
Allows the User to Acquire and Display an Image in Real
Time. The User Will Have the Option of Changing the
Imaging Plane in Real Time, Performing Some Basic Image
Manipulations on the Image and Storing the Graphic
Prescription Coordinates for a New Scan. Images can be
Acquired in Real Time to Quickly Identify the Plane of
Interest and Obtaining the Accurate Coordinates for a
Normal 2D Scan. |
